Ramallah-10/72014: The Palestinian center for development and media freedoms (MADA) condemns the savage crime committed by Israeli occupation forces ,targeting the car of “Media 24” company. Thus, the driver Hamed Abdullah Shihab,30 years old, was killed last night.
Last night, While Mr .Shihab was going at about 10:00 pm to Omar Al-Mukhtatr's street to transfer a cameraman to the headquarters of the company , the car, Skoda, which had a press sign , and whose color is silver, was shelled by a rocket by an Israeli airplane, according to the director of Media 24” company Yousef Abu Shara'ia.
the Israeli occupation forces also shelled in the north of Al-Nisarat area where the correspondent of radio Sawt Al –Sha'b Mahmud Omar Louh,24, existed ; the effects of the explosions pushed him nearly 5 meters ,and he fell on the ground, sustaining bruises all over his body ,as he reported to MADA.
In addition, the cameraman of Filsitin TV Mahmoud Ahmad Afaneh,35 years old, reported to MADA:"On Thursday ,at 01:00 am, the house of our neighbor Mahmoud Haj was shelled without a previous warning by F16 rocket, targeting 8 people. The pillars of the shelled house flew to our house, resulting in walls and ceiling destruction, which was a massive destruction by the moraine of the shelled house. My wife who is in thirties was suffering under the moraine for 20 minutes before she was rescued. my daughter,Hala,who is 8 years old, was under moraine for 30 minutes before she was rescued. Then, both of them were transferred to Nasir Governmental hospital in Khan Younis.My wife has been suffering in the intensive care room until now , and my daughter is suffering from bruises all over her body. Journalism equipment and other belongings were destroyed which shows the massive material losses ."
MADA stresses again on the role of the international community to move in order to stop Israeli aggression on Gaza strip and protect journalists since Israeli occupation forces have been targeting them during their massive aggressions against Gaza strip, where 7 journalists were killed during the aggressions of 2009 and 2012, and lots of international ,local and Arab media outlets headquarters were shelled at that time.
