The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) expresses its strong condemnation of Israeli occupation forces targeting the house of  Jihad Mashharawai  the employee in the Arbic the BBC Office in Gaza, on Wednesday 11/14/2012, which led to the death of his son Omar (11 months) and injured his son Ali , in addition to the death of his brother's wife and seriously wounding his brother.

The targeting of journalists and their homes reminded us of Israeli occupation forces targeting of  journalists and their homes during the aggression on Gaza at the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009, where four journalists were killed, wounded many of them, destroyed the homes of journalists and bombed the headquarters of  media outlets.

While we condemn the new Israeli aggression on Gaza, we emphasize that the Israel's continued occupation of the Palestinian territories will lead to further suffering of the Palestinian people and journalists. The international community is demanded to enforce the application of UN resolutions related to the Palestinian cause, and international treaties that protect civilians and journalists.
