The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) signed an implementation partners agreement. 

The project “Promotion of the freedom of expression, safety of journalists and empowering women in media to enhance respect for human rights in the Gaza Strip and West Bank" and the project activity “Strengthening freedom of expression and press freedom" includes a series of activities such as press freedom and freedom of expression campaigns, studies tackling media
freedom, workshops for lawyers and media students about international and local laws related to freedom of expression and capacity building for MADA’s staff. 

The agreement was signed by the Head of UNESCO Ramallah Office Louise Haxthausen and the Chairman of MADA’s board Ghazi Hanania.
