The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (Mada) expresses strong condemnation of firing crime at freelance journalist Mustafa Sabri home, in Qalqilya city, north of the West Bank.
Sabri said that unknown fired five bullets at the front door of his home at dawn today, no one of his family member were wounded as s result of this criminal aggression.
Mada considers this crime a dangerous violation of freedom of opinion and expression in the Palestinian territories, demands that relevant organs of the Palestinian authority to investigate this crime, and prosecute the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Mada also appeals to President Mahmoud Abbas to release journalists detained in the Palestinian National Authority prisons before Eid al-Adha (December 8), so they could spend the Eid with their families and friends
