Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (mada), expresses deep concern and strong condemnation, of the crime of attack on the Sawt al-Shab Radios headquarter (Voice of the People) in Gaza city, committed by an armed Palestinian group last night, which led to four injuries among journalists and people working in the radio, and two of the guests, who were participating in a program at the time of the attack, in addition to the sabotage a number of devices and desktop Furniture.
This new crime added to the series of crimes that have been committed against journalists and media institutions in the Palestinian territories, which escalated in recent months, which constitutes a serious infringement of freedom of opinion and expression, guaranteed by the Palestinian law and all international norms and covenants, and stresses the need for the Palestinian Authority and government to take the necessary measures to protect journalists and media institutions and prosecute the perpetrators of these crimes and bring them to justice.
