Israeli occupation forces have escalated their violations of media freedoms in the Palestinian territories, they stormed into three television and two radio stations in Nablus city today dawn, they confiscated transmission equipment and archival material,  from their headquarters, which led to cessation of broadcasting, namely : Gama TV (confiscation of 8 computers and montage equipment, and station archive of tapes, destroying broadcasting studio), Afaq TV(confiscation of 12 computers, 8 mixtures voice(6), image (2), four digital cameras, parts of the archive, tel.central, and a wireless instrument), Senna TV (confiscation of 10 computers, and archive documents), Quran al-Kareem Radio (confiscation of 14 computers, audio archives, tel.central, and official documents), Jabal el-Nar Radio (confiscation of all its equipment and videos),in addition they stormed in Nablus TV, where they searched it, but has not confiscated any equipment ,so it continued to broadcast as usual.
Yediot Aharonot website wrote according to officials in the Israeli army that (these stations were used to incite Palestinians against Israel), some Israeli media have reported that these stations were closed, but the TV &Radio officials denied receipt of any military closure orders during the raids.
Mada center condemns the Israeli violations, which increased continuously, with the
escalation of aggression against Palestinian people, either through military attacks, or through the continued construction of the apartheid wall, or confiscation of more Palestinian land to expand their settlements in West Bank, and consider it as a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion and expression, guaranteed by international laws and covenants, in particular article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Mada center call on international community, especially humanitarian institutions, which defends journalists, to redouble pressure on Israeli government to stop its violations of media freedoms, and human rights of Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories. It is worthy to mention that, there are 64 private TV & radio stations, are broadcasting from the Palestinian territories, especially in the West Bank.
