The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (Mada) condemns the practice of internal security service against Sakher Madhat  Abu Oun (44years ) France Press Agency office head  and the Chief of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate in Gaza, who they still holding  his personal ID card and his passport, since last Saturday (21March).

They summoned Abu Oun on last Thursday and Saturday, he said that he was interrogated for two hours about his speech at Media Conference in Dubai, training course for journalists in Cairo, and financial and material assistance provided by the International Federation of Journalists for a number of journalists and their families in Gaza, in addition to the elections subject in the journalists Syndicate. They asked him to return back two days later, where they confiscated his ID card and passport.

Mada condemns Abu Oun interrogation and the confiscation of his passport, which is a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of movement, and demands an end to such practices against him, and to return his personal documents to him.
