Numerous violations against press freedoms in Gaza with the marked targeting of women journalists
.During March 2011 Palestinian journalists have suffered numerous attacks whilst covering various events, most notably during the non-violent demonstrations demanding an end to the division between Fatah and Hamas and the marches commemorating Land Day in the Gaza Strip. Additional violations have been monitored throughout the West Bank with journalists attacked, detained and arrested by the IOF in Hebron and Jerusalem. MADA has also noted a disturbing intensification in the targeting of women journalists in Gaza Strip.
