Violations of media freedoms in oPt during January 2011
The start of the New Year did bring with it any improvements regarding media freedoms in Palestinian occupied territories, many journalists were attacked during the first month of 2011 whilst carrying out their job covering various events in the Palestinian territories. The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) has monitored many violations against journalists, committed by both the Israeli Occupation Forces and Palestinian security services in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
