Ramallah- The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms " MADA” held its Annual Meeting of the general assembly yesterday evening Wednesday, 20.04.2016 , in order to  review and approve both the financial and administrative reports for the year of 2015 and the election of new board of directors for the Center.

 

 

 

The members of the General assembly expressed their contentment of the great development and progresses achieved by " MADA " during the last year in defending media freedoms and freedom of expression in Palestinian society(digital rights and intellectual property), and widening MADAs’ network on the local and international levels, the latest of which was granting  " MADA " a special consultative status at the economic and social Council of the United Nations this month , which will enhance the role, presence and influence of MADA in the international arena .

 

 

 

During the meeting, they elected a new BoD with a new body and tasks; the first meeting for the commission, took place right after the end of the General Assembly meeting, and distributed tasks among its members as follows:

 

Chairman Dr.Ghazi Hanania, Vice Chairman Miss. Sana Aranki, Secretary Mrs. Lubna Alashkar, Treasurer Dr. Taleb Awad, Members: Mr.Khalid Darwish, Mrs. Amal Juma’a, Mr. Nihad Abu Ghoush, Mr. Jehad Harb, Mrs. Nahid Abu Taima.
