“MADA” condemns the Israeli attacks against journalists in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ramallah – April,25rd, 2022: The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedom “MADA” condemns the continued journalists targeting by Israeli soldiers, who are working to cover the settlers’ incursions and the repeated attacks by the Israeli army on civilians in Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Last Friday, three journalists were wounded, which can only be described as being in the circle of serious attacks targeting journalists, as journalist Ali Yassin was hit by a rubber bullet in the throat, causing a deep wound to his neck, while journalists "Mohamed Asho" and "Ahmed Sharif" were injured with rubber bullets in their feet.

MADA Center had monitored, since the beginning of Ramadan month, dozens of injuries among journalists in Al-Aqsa Mosque, to keep them away, not only from the place, but also to prevent them from covering the events.

Israeli violations against journalists ranged from being hit by rubber bullets or suffocated by bomb or pepper gas to the point of blatant assault on journalists to prevent them from covering the crimes and violations of the occupation.

MADA Center condemns all attacks by the occupation soldiers against journalists in Jerusalem and the rest of the Palestinian cities and reiterates that their impunity and international dealing with the occupying state as above the law is what constitutes a basic pillar and encourages it to continue these attacks.
