Ramallah – 23rd March 2015 – The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms “MADA” demands the release of the freelance photojournalists Osaid Amarna, who has been detained for a month without charges by the Palestinian Preventive Security Service.

Amarna was arrested on 24th February 2015 after he was summoned to the security headquarters in Bethlehem for interrogation, and he appeared in front of the general prosecution the next day, and his detention was extended for 48 hours, and his lawyer appealed for his release was denied. On 26th February 2015 his detention was extended for another 15 days, and on 12th March for another 15 days.

On 22nd March, Osaid’s lawyer Tahani Amarna reported to MADA that: “the general prosecution refused to release him for the 4th time, and still no charges have been brought against him”.
