Ramallah – 8 February 2012: MADA El-E’lam magazine dedicated about one-third of the fifth issue pages for lighting on the reality of journalism education in the Palestinian universities and institutes.
The Mousa Rimawi, Chief in editor of "MADA El-E’lam" – which specializes in press media issues and issued by the Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) – said that the fifth issue of the magazine dealt with the reality of journalism education in Palestinian universities and institutes in the West Bank and Gaza Strip through the group of reports and articles that dealt with the increasing number of press sections, curricula devoted to journalism students, the poor attention to the practical courses, and the quality of education and its impact on the employment opportunities in addition to collection of articles and interviews with academics and specialists on the reality of the process of rehabilitation of journalism students in Palestine.
Rimawi added that the fifth issue contains variety of issues related to media work, such as the Palestinian Penal law and media freedom, the tendency of channels to broadcast unknown source video clips without checking their credibility, the payment for the guests of the satellite channels and the potential effects of this, the reality Palestinian economic media, the intellectual property rights, the confrontation between the Syrian local media and Al-Jazeera channel, and the closure threat to the 10 Israeli channel as well to pause assessment of the performance of “MADA El-E’lam" magazine after the four issues, in addition to a number of other topics and news relating to media.
MADA El-E’lam consists from 50 pages and printed 5 thousand copies which are distributed to journalists and media organizations and those interested in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
