MADA: 57 attacks against media freedoms in Palestine during January, 37 of which committed by the

Ramallah (January 2019) the first month of 2019 has witnessed an increase in the number of violations against media freedoms in Palestine. It is worth mentioning that most of the previous months have also witnessed high rates, which reflects the continued escalation of attacks against media freedoms, especially by the Israeli occupation, which commits the greatest part of these attacks. The Palestinian Center for Development & Media Freedoms (MADA) has monitored a total of 57 attacks against media freedoms in Palestine during January 2019. 37 of these attacks were committed by the Israeli occupation, while 20 attacks were committed by the Palestinian authorities. It should be noted that January of 2018 has witnessed 47 attacks, 32 of which were committed by the occupation and 15 by the Palestinian authorities.
